The Environmental Compliance section of The Land Development office enforces the laws that protect the public and preserve the beauty of the Appalachian Mountains that surround us.
We enforce the laws to preserve the water that is important to the survival of the citizens of Fannin County and our State. We help with environmental concerns such as illegal dumping, litter, old tires, chemical spills, soil erosion, solid waste, water pollution and many other problems.

Open Records Request for Land Development
I understand that, pursuant to O.C.G.A Β§ 50-18-71, I may be charged administrative and copying fees for the cost to search, retrieve, copy and supervise access to the requested documents.
The fee represents the hourly rate of the lowest paid full-time employee with the necessary skill and training to respond to my request, with no charge for the first fifteen minutes that it takes to respond to the request.
The charge for copies is generally $ 0.10 cents per page unless otherwise provided by law.
I agree to pay all copying and/or administrative costs incurred with fulfilling my open records request.
